There’s More to La Tania Than Simply Skiing
Many would say that the top attractions in La Tania begin and end with the incredible skiing opportunities that you will find there – but it just isn’t so. There are many other activities that you can take part in when visiting this resort if you are so inclined. Most of them take advantage of the natural snowy climate here, and all of them combine to make this a wonderful tourist destination.
Dog-sledding
The sport of dog-sledding may not be your first thought when you are trying to come up with suitable holiday activities, but it is certainly one to consider while staying here in a chalet. La Tania has fabulous snow-covered mountain trails that make for great rides – once you have had a little training to ensure that your trip is safe and enjoyable. You don’t have to worry about your lack of experience as the resort has plenty of companies that specialize in dog-sledding.
Snowshoeing
If you want to explore the beautiful mountainous surroundings at a slower pace, then try snowshoeing out of your chalet. La Tania is criss-crossed with trails that are ideal for sightseeing throughout the picturesque woodland setting. It is the lowest of the many resorts that can be found in the area, so the going is not too tough. All you have to do is bundle up well and procure some quality snowshoes and you’ll be ready to head out onto the trails. Your best bet is to hire one of the local guides who will make your walk educational, safe, and fun. These experienced guides know the best sights, so that you won’t have to worry about missing a thing.
Ski-boarding
Ski-boarding is sometimes referred to by other names, but this is the one that it goes by most often. The sport is a melding of elements of skating, skiing, and snowboarding and is a good option for anyone looking for a little fun away from their chalet. La Tania boasts all grades of slopes, so it won’t be hard to locate the ones that are most appropriate for your ski-boarding abilities. You can head to nearby Chenus, with reds and blues for intermediate ability, or Col de La Loze, with black runs that head down in the direction of La Plaz. If you are a complete beginner, then you can seek out some of the many ski-boarding coaches in the resort to get you started and enjoy the more beginner friendly areas. Just know that you don’t have to be a master ski-boarder to have a lot of fun doing it!
Snowmobiling
Snowmobiling is an activity that allows you to take advantage of the surrounding terrain the region has to offer. This is definitely an activity for anyone who enjoys a good rush of adrenaline! As long as you are going to make the most of the snowy mountain setting you might as well do a little snowmobiling.
These activities are a few of the top attractions in the resort. You can still do your fair share of skiing and get these activities in – all within easy reach of your chalet. La Tania offers a whole lot more than meets the eye!
